Teaching philosophy

I teach at the intersection of computer science and business — and I treat that intersection as a feature, not a compromise. My courses consistently combine technical depth with the question practitioners actually face: so what do we do with this?

What I aim for, course after course: students leave able to do something useful that they couldn't do before, with enough conceptual grounding to keep learning on their own. That belief is what earned me UDD's Teaching Excellence Award in 2023, and it's the same belief that now drives my doctoral work on how students learn with AI.
